We are looking for full-time and part-time DSP’s responsible for providing direct support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in small groups ensuring that each person has access to a meaningful day. This position is a safety-sensitive position under the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment.
Full Time Shift: Monday-Friday
8am-4pm
4pm-12am
12am – 8am
Part Time Shift: Saturday and Sunday
8am-4pm
4pm-12am
12am – 8am
Qualifications Required:
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One year of experience working with people who have developmental disabilities required.
• Special Education teaching experience and skills a plus.
• Good typing skills and ability to document and record daily client notes in software program.
• Ability to write and send professional emails in Microsoft Outlook.
• Experience in the use of Outlook Calendar, Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Certification/License: Annual TB Skin Test; CPR/First Aid; Van training, Valid Drivers’ License.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
• Focus on helping people achieve person centered goals related to preparing for, maintaining and succeeding in their efforts around life skills, employment, socialization, volunteering, recreation, resource location, money management and transportation.
• Encourage and actively participate in planned activities.
• Maintain all documentation daily as required. Typing in a software program required.
• Participate, when requested, in Person Center Program Plan meeting(s).
• Provide transportation for clients, as necessary.
• Participate in training, in-services, conferences, and seminars as requested.
• Follow directions of supervisor, performing other duties as assigned.
