Van Driver

• Practices safe driving skills and ensures the vehicle is in good operating condition prior to each trip through a pre-trip inspection checklist.
• Keeps accurate accounting of each child or adult that is being transported on the forms provided.
• Assists in maintaining a safe and encouraging environment for children and adult clients.
• Interacts with children in a positive manner.  Addresses behaviors proactively.
• Represents the program to parents, visitors, and the public in a positive way.
• Maintains a clean, safe, healthy, and sanitary environment on the bus/van each day.
• Immediately reports any information regarding health and safety concerns to Transportation Director and Executive Director.
• Ensures that all children and adult clients are supervised, secured in their seats with safety belts and protected from entry to exit of vehicle.
• Completes required annual training.
• Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.
• Has a valid driver’s license.
